2. What Personal Data We Collect
We may collect and process the following personal data, depending on the service you use:
- Full name
- Email address
- Date, time, and place of birth
- Mobile or WhatsApp number, where applicable
- Booking and appointment information
- Calendar, scheduling, and meeting information
- Information provided through booking, order, or consultation forms
- Information voluntarily shared during consultations or in communications with Simgology
- Communications relating to bookings, orders, consultations, or service delivery
- Technical information that may be collected through our website or service providers, such as IP address, browser, device, log, and usage information
Payment information is processed securely by Stripe. Simgology does not receive or store full payment-card details. Stripe may process personal data in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.
If you subscribe to Simgology content through Substack, Substack processes information relating to your subscription in accordance with its own privacy policy.
Simgology’s services are intended only for individuals aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly offer services to, or intentionally collect personal data from, individuals under the age of 18.
3. How We Use Your Personal Data
We may use personal data to:
- Provide and deliver purchased services
- Create personalised astrology, tarot, numerology, and related interpretations
- Verify birth information and prepare charts, reports, recordings, or consultations
- Schedule, manage, and conduct consultations
- Process and administer payments
- Send booking confirmations, appointment information, Google Meet access details, service updates, and purchased deliverables
- Respond to inquiries and communicate regarding bookings, orders, or services
- Maintain appropriate business, accounting, tax, and transaction records
- Manage cancellations, refunds, payment disputes, and chargebacks
- Protect the security and integrity of our website, booking systems, and services
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims where necessary
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell or rent personal data.
4. Lawful Bases for Processing
Under the UK GDPR, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases, depending on the purpose for which personal data is processed:
Performance of a contract – where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract or to provide and administer a service you have purchased.

5. Service Providers and International Data Transfers
To operate and deliver our services, Simgology uses selected third-party service providers, which may include:
- Cal.eu (provided by Cal.com, Inc.) – appointment scheduling, booking management, booking forms, and related calendar services
- Stripe – payment processing and payment administration
- Google Meet and related Google services – live consultations, meeting access, communications, and related service administration
- WhatsApp – communication or delivery of audio recordings where applicable
- Substack – email subscriptions, newsletters, and related communications
These providers may process personal data as data processors acting on Simgology’s instructions, as independent data controllers, or in another capacity permitted by applicable data protection law, depending on the service provided and the relevant processing activity.
Simgology has entered into a Data Processing Agreement with Cal.com, Inc. in relation to its use of the cal.eu service. Under that arrangement, Simgology acts as the data controller and Cal.com, Inc. acts as a data processor for personal data processed on Simgology’s behalf through the service.
Personal data processed through Simgology’s cal.eu service is hosted in the European Union or European Economic Area, subject to the terms of the applicable Data Processing Agreement. Limited remote access from outside the EU or EEA may occur where necessary for support, security, incident response, or service continuity and is subject to appropriate safeguards.
Some service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred internationally, Simgology will take reasonable steps to ensure that an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism or safeguard is used where required, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another legally recognised safeguard.
6. Data Retention
Simgology retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to:
- Provide and administer purchased services
- Maintain appropriate business and client records
- Respond to inquiries, complaints, cancellations, or disputes
- Comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
The applicable retention period may vary depending on the type of information, the purpose for which it is processed, and any applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
Financial, transaction, accounting, and tax records may generally be retained for up to six years, or for any longer period required by applicable law.
Consultation notes, birth information, booking information, communications, reports, recordings, and other service-related information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, legitimate business purposes, legal compliance, or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
Personal data held by third-party service providers may also be retained in accordance with their applicable retention schedules, legal obligations, and contractual arrangements.
7. Your Data Protection Rights
Under applicable UK data protection law, you may have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Request erasure of your personal data in certain circumstances
- Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests in certain circumstances

- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (“ICO”)
These rights are subject to certain legal conditions and exemptions and may not apply in every circumstance.

You will not normally be required to pay a fee to exercise your data protection rights. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before responding to a request.
You also have the right to make a complaint to the ICO. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns first, but you are not required to contact us before approaching the ICO.
8. Data Security
Simgology takes appropriate and proportionate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Access to personal data is limited where reasonably practicable to Simgology and authorised service providers that require access for legitimate service, operational, legal, or administrative purposes.
Although reasonable measures are taken to protect personal data, no method of electronic transmission or digital storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Simgology may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for website functionality, security, booking, payment processing, and the operation of services requested by users.

Simgology may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to its services, business practices, legal obligations, or the third-party providers it uses.
